Social Media Strategist, Photographer, Content Creator || During my time at Ithaca College I was a member of #ICsocial. #ICsocial is a team of student content creators and strategists who work with the Ithaca College Social Media Manager. By my senior year I was promoted to the Senior Social Media Intern position within IC's Marketing and Communication Department. Over my four years I provided a variety of both written and visual content and strategy for all of the college's social platforms.  As the Senior Social Media Intern I managed the team of #ICsocial students including a junior intern, worked closely with the college's Social Media Strategist, and spearheaded several large events providing strategy, community management, and content. I also helped manage a transition between Social Media Strategists for the college, filling in for the position while it remained vacant.

Social Media Strategist, Photographer, and Content Creator

Snapchat Content

From initial story boarding to execution, increasing the posting frequency and production quality of the Ithaca College Snapchat was one of my goals during my tenure.

Bridget has such a natural instinct for social media management. From when she started in the Ithaca College Social Media Street Team her freshman year, she was always the first to volunteer to help create content for the college’s social media properties. As she continued through her college years, she began to pick up the nuances of social media management and recommending the best ways for us to use each of the college’s social properties to market many of the different social campaigns that ran throughout the year. When I was looking for a student to fill the intern position I had available, I jumped at the chance to work with Bridget. She has a very strategic mind and a profound understanding of all social platforms and how best to use each one. My only regret is I didn’t get to work with Bridget longer. She’d be an asset on any social media marketing team and I’d hire her in a heartbeat.

Student Instagram Takeover

I became the first student to take over the Ithaca College Instagram to kick off a new campaign, #HowISeeIC during my freshman year. Since then it has evolved to showcase the life of students, professors, alumni and even some on campus dogs in a new way. As the Social Media Strategy Intern I organized and planned the campaign during my senior year. I took over the account for a #HowISawIC take on the campaign during my last week of senior year. .

I inherited Bridget as an intern when I was hired at Ithaca College, and although I was technically her supervisor, she was a pillar of encouragement and support for me as I settled into my new role. Bridget and I worked closely to develop and implement social media strategies and campaigns for the college community of students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff. She is a purposeful and organized worker with an abundance of ideas and enthusiasm, and I am confident she will go very far in her career.
